This was so delicious. I used a store brought flatbread and used the pesto. Topped with fresh mozzarella, feta, tomatoes and sweet pepper. Sprinkled a little chopped fresh basil. So good, cheap to make, easy and tastes like something from a restaurant. The perfect quick summer appetizer
These were delicious and so easy to make. I used extra chopped green onions and three chopped sweet peppers along with some freeze dried chives. I also added a little black pepper to the beaten egg. I used a full egg for the egg wash, and put a small knife cut in each (lets the steam escape) and sprinkled with dried sage. I used these for afternoon tea today, the rest are in the freezer to use at a later date
Firstly Golden Syrup and molasses are NOT the same thing. By using Molasses instead of the golden syrup you will completely change the texture and flavor of this gingerbread. You will find Lyles golden syrup easily enough, most large grocery stores that have an British section in the International aisle stock it, you will also find it at world market and on Amazon (I always purchase from amazon). I made exactly as written and this tastes like proper old English ginger bread. Its delicious! I have used it as a base for tomorrows ginger pear trifle, I can't wait to eat it
These were just what I was looking for, nice and crunchy on the outside, but soft inside. Made one batch plain (Not as fond of these). The best tasting was to add Italian herbs, Garlic and olive oil together in a dish and then brush over the top of the sticks before putting in the oven. Also to make them crisp I sprayed the sticks in the oven twice within the first 5 minutes of cooking with water. Will certainly be making these Italian herb bread sticks again!
I really enjoyed this frittata although I did make a few changes. I used Chopped fresh spinach, mushrooms, onions and sweet peppers which I sautéed with a little crushed fresh garlic. I used 6 full eggs (feel like I should not be wasting eggs when they are in short supply). I also replaced the cumin/salt/pepper for Penzeys salsa and Pico mix, once put in the dish I sprinkled over ½ cup of grated cheese. Cooked for 30 minutes. Great taste I will be making this very easy disc again, the salsa really added a nice kick
OMG ~ This was a gorgeous loaf, I followed the recipe exactly (used margarine). I did double the lemon juice and also 2 teaspoons of lemon extract. The cake was the perfect combination of lemon and coconut, also loved just how moist this loaf was. Will certainly be making this recipe again.
