Well.... I'm sure this recipe is perfect as is so I'm giving it 5 stars. The flavour was amazing. My downfall is I used frozen Saskatoon berries since I had tons in my freezer, and they didn't produce any juice so the end result was more like buttery granola with dry berries. It still tastes terrific in milk. I've researched since that one needs to adjust liquids in recipes if using less juicy Saskatoon berries. Will adjust next time.

This is perfect. I started backwards, with a fridge full of ingredients I needed to use up after a week of hosting extended family; 1.5 lbs of ground beef and some bags of vegs from veg trays. I did an ingredients search and found this brilliant idea. I had to alter the recipe to use up what I had, so chopped up broccoli was included, a red onion, 1/2 a rutabaga, and wagonwheel noodles instead of barley. This recipe is a keeper - obviously suited to whatever you have on hand to use. Based on other reviews, I added garlic powder and some beef bovril and increased the broth (2 boxes of unsalted beef broth).

I made this twice this weekend. First time I made it Saturday exactly like the recipe and it was very good although a tad sweet for our taste but still amazing. My hubby polished it off and asked me to make it again on Sunday to bring to friend's house for dinner. I reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup and cooked it for 20 mins, I think my oven cooks a little hot. This recipe is a keeper. My hubby said please make this again any time.

I made this as close to the recipe as I could with the ingredients I had access to and my diet requirements - I used rice instead of quinoa and green pepper instead of spinach, and I omitted the soy sauce and used low sodium tomato soup instead of ketchup or BBQ sauce on top since I need to eat lower sodium and sugar. I wasn't sure how it would turn out since the raw mixture was so wet and kind of a sloppy mud-like consistency, but it turned out perfect, moist, delicious and amazing! This has gone straight into my favourite recipes box.

This is a perfect recipe as is! The only thing I changed is I used regular cremini mushrooms since it's what I had. This recipe is going going straight into my favourites box, it's the one I'll use from now on.
