"Loaded" Tater Tots

These are always in demand for lunch, as a savory snack, or while watching a sports event on television. I made these up "on the fly" to go with sandwiches one Friday night, and now they're a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots

  • 1/4 C butter or margarine, melted

  • 1 T seasoned salt

  • 1 C finely shredded Cheddar cheese

  • 8 slices pre-cooked bacon

  • 1 C green onions, sliced

  • 1 pint sour cream or French onion dip

Directions

  1. Spray large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray; prehead oven as directed on tater tots package. Spread tater tots on sprayed baking sheet. Bake according to package directions. Meanwhile, use kitchen scissors to cut pre-cooked bacon into 1/2" slices. When done, remove tater tots from oven. Drizzle with melted butter or margarine. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, cheese, and bacon. Return to oven for about three minutes, until cheese begins to bubble. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with green onions. Dab sour cream (or dip) all over top. Serve directly from baking sheet. Amount of any ingredient may be varied to taste. Sour cream/dip may be served on side, if preferred.
