Currently, there's a binary. You encourage their quirk or you don't. The characters will behave very differently. I'll note ahead of time that some quirks make it harder to push some girls to do certain things.
Encouraging Laura and Jean's quirks makes it harder to exert dominance. Enabling Rogue makes it easier. I won't spoil how or why and this will be the only instance I mention this tidbit.
The team has mentioned in discussion several times that as our understanding of the code expands that we will go back and tweak and change things. Better presentation, improved art, and updated character dialogue. Anything to make the experience better.

I meant more in the context of them "hanging out" when you're not around. Also perhaps other interactions, aside from just them 'getting mad'
Some girls will reveal your infidelity, some won't. Depends on if they are friends. Some girls won't reveal it at all. Some girls will post all about it on social media.

As for what they do when you're not around? If two girls are in a polyamorous relationship with you,
some of them will lez out with each other.
Other times they'll just talk about girl stuff, gossip, or talk about their personal lives. People who want to have a harem of 20ish girls! Remember to give them the dick equally! They will be jealous if you're favoring just like 3 of them XD.

I believe so. Elements of that mod have been repurposed but to my knowledge that mod acted differently from base RLE so it's not surprising that we expanded.
I hope there's an accessibility setting plan which disables flashing (like in the prologue - bathroom stall) or whatever else effects you all have planned.

You mean hanging out as in getting dick from anyone but your character? There won't be cheating, but if you don't do the usual romance with the gal, she'll eventually get laid.
As mentioned above there will never be any NTR. But if you outright ignore Jean for 6 years(The current planned timeline of events in the game) She's not gonna wait around for you and be a 27-year-old virgin. The relationships she attempts in the meantime will ultimately fail so that she can be available for you to date.
I will note that in most cases this will not be the case if you choose the platonic route for their stories. Most girls will be pining for you and hoping you make a move. Especially if you're in a polyamorous relationship with at least 2 other characters because that means she'll have a chance.
The reason for this is because on Earth-69 a lot of the dudes establish relationships from alternate continuities. Gambit and his wife never divorced, Scott actually chooses to be a good husband and stays with Madeline Prior, Nightcrawler and his girlfriend work out their relationship issues, Colossus doesn't perv on an underaged Kitty and starts a relationship with another Russian hero before Kitty is legal.
This is one of the few unnecessary deviations from the 616 universe mostly because I was outvoted in having you all having to deal with girls hooking up with their canon relationships because you chose not to pursue them as well as the team still not wanting to have the dudes die alone and unloved. So I scoured the multiverse to find characters that were compatible. I did the research and this won't alter the core narrative of the game. Other than Madeline Prior never becoming the Goblin Queen.
Basically, no cheating, but you lose some of that initial romance - Shiny says there'll be chances to gain their favor again even if you miss out on their initial content.
If you skip out on their platonic route it basically becomes a traditional dating sim. Many of their stories will reward you with relationship points because of shared trauma and you showed you're reliable.
If you ignore them... They barely know who you are beyond a teammate that's done well for the X-Men. So you'll be wining and dining them the old-fashioned way.
