Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings

  • water, or as needed to cover

  • 1 cup milk

  • cup white sugar, or more to taste

  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream

  • ¼ cup butter

  • 8 ears corn on the cob, husks and silk removed

Directions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large stockpot; stir in milk, sugar, cream, and butter until sugar dissolves and butter melts.

  2. Gently place ears of corn into the mixture and reduce heat to low. Simmer corn until tender, 7 to 8 minutes.

  3. Remove corn from the pot with tongs and set aside under aluminum foil until serving time.
