I made this last night for strawberry shortcake and it turned out awesome, even with one error on my part and a substituted ingredient...thus 5 stars for a forgiving recipe.
First, I replaced the vanilla extract with a tablespoon of honey (no vanilla onhand).
Second, I forgot to warm the milk and poured it in cold. Oops.
Well, the end result was a perfect sponge cake with strawberries AND eaten plain later. In fact, it was perfect by itself.
Thank you for the recipe and I plan to play with more vanilla substitutes (like fresh lemon).
I opted for making only one, and added 5 minutes to the bake time, per other reviews. Came out great and 5 stars for flexibility of recipe. I used the loaf for garlic toast and it was a hit.

This is now our go-to pancake mix recipe. The only adjustment I made was lighter on the salt, but that's a personal preference. I have three picky eaters in the house, and they all loved the pancakes...clueless to them being made with whole wheat. Better than Bisquit!
This a nice fresh salsa, written as is, and a great base recipe for building. I chose to use a couple different peppers, added some paste, minced garlic and tossed in some red pepper flakes. My peppers are on the very hot end of the spectrum, so additional fresh lime. Tastes great right after making, so I know as it sits, the flavors are going to explode further.
Giving 5 stars even though I swapped out the bacon for green scallions. I par-boiled the peppers to aid in softening. When ppl say wear gloves...please wear gloves. My poor fingers are still burning hours later. But, my goodness, these things are awesome. Due to diet issues, I also used gluten free seasoned bread crumbs. After the 3rd drudge in milk and second crumb coating, it was next to impossible to know what side was cheese. I used my air fryer at 395 degrees 5 minutes one side and 4 minutes on second. Perfect! These will be made again for sure. Makes enough to freeze and reheat what you want for later, or for a group/party.
I made these up to see if it were possible to hide the veg. I steamed my summer squash and allowed to drain itself while halved and cut side down. Hand mashed only. A handful of seasoned panko, dashes of cayenne, half the sugar, and bottom scallions in place of onion and about a cup grated cheddar. I also baked these vs deep fried. End result was tasty and fluffy and may be a repeat if done with the mods made.
