I have been making biscotti for years but usually stick to my old basic almond biscotti. I am trying new recipes so that I have a variety for my son's wedding "pot luck dessert" table. I always make a double batch because I use biscotti baking pans (and two batches are just as easy as one!). I did so with this recipe along with following reviews to add more extract and zest. When I use the pans, I have to adjust the baking time. These turned out very nice and the drizzle of chocolate just adds a nice touch. They are a bit crispier than I am accustomed to which can be a result of the adjusted baking time but will also stand up to traditional "dunking". I would make again and maybe try and orange drizzle. Enjoy.
Is delicious but not bragging. Basic is as good as it gets. Roasted the pine nuts, heavy on the garlic (for the heart), excellent olive oil and grew the basil my own self. Don't think I'm sharing except with the hubby!
I made this tonight and it was the best stew that I have had (and made) in a long time. The only changes I made was adding extra garlic and cooking it in my crock pot. So simple but all the flavors meld beautifully. Looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

My son requested a Red Velvet Cake for his 21st birthday celebration. I read a lot of the reviews and on the advise of one of the reviewers who went into the science behind substitutions, decided to make it exactly as listed. I split the 2 9" layers in half to make 4 layers and took the time to make the icing as directed. It was wonderful. I had tons of compliments and everyone wanted to know how the icing was made. My opinion, if you use cream cheese icing, it is way too sweet. Go classic and take your time and you will not be disappointed.
