I made this without change and we enjoyed it very much. Now I make it with fresh ginger and garlic and have elevated it imo it’s a very forgiving sauce, so those of you complaining about consistency only need to help your situation by adding additional water at end of slurry made it too thick.
I love this recipe. I have my bread machine in storage so I just followed the recipe proofing the yeast, oil and water and then mixing in 2 cups of the flour with sugar and salt, adding the 3rd cup gradually until it wasn’t sticking to the bowl. Kneaded 4-5 minutes, rise 60 follow the rest of directions. So happy with the results as always. This is the best bread recipe on here IMO!
I wish more people would check this recipe out. It’s delicious and whomever I’ve made it for has wanted the recipe. Made as is, it’s a 5 ?? recipe. There’s all kinds of variations that can be made, boneless chicken thighs is a delicious substitute for the meat and I sometimes increase the heat with jalapeños instead of chilies. I play with the cheese flavors too. Thank you, love this winter staple!!
