Very good, will make again. I cut the sugar to 1 1/4 c., and substituted 1/3 c. Sour cream instead of water. Used walnuts instead of pecans. It needed 1 hr., 10 minutes in the oven.

Fabulous! I used fresh peaches; no need to take the skins off. They were really large peaches, four cut up filled a 9 x 13 pan. I use a food processor to make the topping. Everyone loved it; added a dollop of whipped cream.

This is THE BEST shortbread cookie recipe I’ve ever used! First time made with chocolate chips, just made again without. This time I used the zest of 1 lemon in with the butter and sugar before adding flour mixture. Perfect!

I normally use butter for biscuits, but we just got home from a trip.....need to go for groceries, not enough butter for baking this morning. Not bad. I didn’t have buttermilk, so I included about two tbls yogurt in the milk. The texture is fine, not as flaky as butter biscuits.

Best thumbprint ever. I only had grape jelly, so I made apricot filling from dried apricots for half of them. The dough held together well, I didn’t sift, just spooned and leveled the flour. The perfect tasting cookie as far as I’m concerned.
