Gosh, what a great salad! I followed the recipe exactly, and it was outstanding. The dressing is delicious and oh so easy to make. This salad will be enjoyed again and again over the years. It’s just perfect :)
This dish is so delicious and so easy, even a new cook can score a perfect 10 with this one. I see a lot of people complaining about a lack of flavor, but that makes no sense to me. There was tons of flavor! This dish relies heavily on the marinara, so if you choose a weak pasta sauce, I guess that could be the cause of some disappointment. Except for adding garlic powder to the ricotta mixture (instead of fresh garlic - I was feeling lazy and didn't want to skin and chop it), I followed the recipe exactly. I recommend serving this chicken dish with polenta on the side. Such an impressive combination of flavors. Try it, Mikey... you'll like it :)
Another 5 star recipe! I added 2 tablespoons of sugar and used a small amount of chopped jalapeños in lieu of the green chilies. Served it alongside Allrecipes Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup and these two items together turned a simple, easy dinner into something that totally impressed the fam bam. Thank you!!!
Excellent slow cooker soup. I didn’t use the beer. I’m so sorry, I see some of you have very strong feelings in this regard, but my brain and my taste buds are intrinsically linked and my brain could not handle the beer. So, I used chicken broth, and this recipe is amazing! Topping this soup with jack cheese, crushed tortilla chips, cilantro, and avocado is a must. Super quick to put together, frees up your time for other things, makes the house smell great, and then graciously comes to your rescue at the end of a busy day. Haven’t you done enough already little Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup? I think we just became best friends :)
This cookie is basically a brownie rolled in powdered sugar. They are definitely beautiful to look at! My family loves them, but I’m struggling with knowing they contain vegetable oil instead of butter. I clearly have a hang-up in this regard. If you are emotionally stable and don’t trip on tiny little details that truly don’t matter, I suggest you give them a try ;)
This is delicious... Prep everything ahead of time and be ready because once you start, it happens pretty fast. If you have to stop and open or chop anything, you may risk over-cooking the chicken, which be a crying shame. Layering the spinach on top (and not stirring it into the dish) is pure genius. It was sooooo hard for me not to stir it all together, but I urge you to resist because it allows this back-up singer to step up to the microphone and shine! My only real departure from the recipe as written was brown sugar. Yep, I added several tablespoons of brown sugar. I know, something is wrong with me. Somewhere along the line, I developed a preference for a little subliminal sweetness whenever I make a tomato-based pasta sauce. Sorry, I feel like this is a crime against what comes natural to most of you, and I apologize. I do not, however, apologize for giving this rather simple dish a full 5 stars because it deserves it.
