Creamy Rice Pudding.
I had some extra white rice in the fridge so I set that boiling with some milk and water while I looked for a recipe. Eyeballed the quantities. Didn't have Raisins. Very important to mix the beaten egg with some cold milk. I also added some warm milk from the saucepan to the egg mixture (egg and cold milk) to temper it. Keep stirring over a low heat while pouring the in the egg mixture a little at a time. DH was very happy.

Good Old-Fashioned Pancakes.

Had this with Nutella. Yummmm. Added so much more sugar than was called for (1/3rd cup). Added more milk when it was left lying for some time. Seriously good. The husband approves.

Dee's Dark Chocolate Granola.
Amazing. Used olive oil, and added 1 Tbsp cocoa powder to the dry mixture. Also left out the almonds and cranberries because I didn't have any. Just fabulous. Love it with milk. Stirred every five minutes, and it was done by 15 minutes. Will be making again. Thanks for sharing!

Cooked Pumpkin.
I love this easy simple recipe. Followed another reviewers advice and put half a pumpkin (which i stabbed with a knife a few times) skin side up and baked at 150' C for 1.5 hrs. Important to remember to add some water too the baking pan. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Winter Solstice Soup Recipe.
Was looking around for a simple soup to go along with lunch today and found this. Very simple, especially if you like the taste of carrots and potatoes. Didn't have parsley and thyme on hand, used fresh coriander instead. My mother didn't particularly care for this soup, but my sister and I really enjoyed it. Added a healthy pinch of chili to suit our tastes. Will make again using the reccomended herbs, and then again following a suggestion of one of the reviewers to add curry. Oh, didn't read the exact instructions before making, and I tossed in the onions, potatoes and carrots all at the same time. Used a mixture of butter and olive oil, and reduced the quantity too. Lovely golden color.

Spicy Basil Chicken Recipe.
Very good! Eyeballed the measurements, skipped the garlic salt and used extra fresh garlic instead, and used five birds eye chillis because I wanted it pretty spicy. Used bone in chicken, and added added some water after adding all the ingredients except the basil. Covered and let it boil down to a nice gravy. I tasted this before adding the basil, and again after, the fresh basil really makes a difference.
