I've made this dish several times and I'm never disappointed. Every single time i make this dish for company everybody loves it.It's so good that I've never had to add or subtract from the original recipe, it's perfect as written. This photo does not do this dish justice
I chose this recipe because I needed to cook the chicken thighs I had defrosted and I thought I had all the ingredients for this recipe. As it turned out, I only had half a cup of honey so I substituted the other half cup with Mike's Hot Honey. Other than that I followed the recipe as written. I really liked the spiciness the hot honey added to the dish. When I started plating, I realized that I didn't have cilantro. So I can't rate this recipe as it's written but that's my fault for not checking my ingredients before I started cooking. With the substitutions I had to make, I really liked this dish and would make it again.
I liked this recipe but I got side tracked and over cooked the steak as it was pretty dry, but that was my fault and not the receipe's. When I went to use the green onion, it was pretty wilted so I had to make a last minute decision to use a white onion and cook it with the meat.I definitely need to re-visit this recipe again and give it my full attention.
I really wanted to love this recipe but it was just ok.Unfortuately I didn't have spinach on hand so I made the recipe without it. (I didn't think it would make that big of a difference in taste). It was good but it wasn't what I had hoped it to be. I'll have to try it again next time it gets cold.
I followed the recipe as written with the exception of adding shrimp. Sometimes I'm a fan of shrimp and other times I'm not so I chose to eliminate it from the recipe. I really liked how quick and easy it was to assemble and throw into the crockpot. After reading other reviews, I'm glad I cooked the rice separately and served it over rice instead of including the rice in the crockpot. My reason for 4 stars is that even this was good, it's not a recipe that I'd make often. It was missing something but I can't put my finger on what it is.
This was so quick and easy to make and I loved the crunchiness. I didn't have fresh parsley so I had to use dry but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly as written and I don't think there's one thing that I'd change. The flavor/spices were on point and I will be making this again.
I liked this recipe because it was easy to make. I followed the recipe exact except for the wine, I didn't have any and I was too lazy to go pick some up. If the recipe was this good without the wine, I can hardly wait to try it again with the wine.
I loved the buttery flavor and I will definitely be making this again.
