Some of the other recipes I looked at had cinnamon and allspice so I added a 1/4 tsp of each. I used 1 cup of oatmeal as the batter seemed awful runny with 3/4 c. I baked at 400 for 15 min then another minute. . They turned out great!!!

I’m making this today and I’m trying it cause of the ratio of baking powder to baking soda. Most of the other recipes call for more baking soda and less baking powder which doesn’t sound right to me. I’ll let you all know how it turns out.
Turned out great!!!! I added sauté onion, garlic and celery. Also folded in 1/2 cup of frozen peas. Didn’t bother with the bread crumbs on top as I got lazy .. lol.
It turned out perfect. I too used about 6 1/2 cups of berries. I didn’t have lemon juice so used lime juice and it was fine. I forgot the butter and brushed the top with milk instead of egg. The tapioca was just right for thickening and the right amount of sugar so it wasn’t too sweet.
