Perfect at 8 minutes, and they look gorgeous. I really don't know why so many people said they had to add milk and/or more butter. I was worried about it being "too dry", so as a precaution I took the time to "correctly" spoon my flour into the measuring cups and level it off (normally I don't bother and just scoop, lol). I will absolutely be keeping this fantastic recipe. Helpful (0) Lupin807 reviewed Kim's Cooking Now’s Chicken Madeira Recipe. 01/17/2024 Followed recipe almost exactly except I used marsala wine. I pounded the chicken out in a gallon ziplock bag and then added the flour and spices to the same bag to make life a little easier. It was so, so good. With all the prep and reducing the wine sauce though, it took me a lot longer to prepare than 1 hr. The lemon flavor was just right. I added some frozen broccoli and about 2 tbs of EVOO, and let that simmer with the garlic and herbs, then tossed with the pasta. I also doubled the spices as other reviewers stated. Will make again! Helpful (0) Lupin807 reviewed John Mitzewich’s Broccoli Garlic Angel Hair Pasta Recipe. 01/02/2019 This was great. I followed the recipe exactly other than 2 changes: I used regular spaghetti instead of angel hair since that's what I had on hand. I also decreased the red pepper flakes to 1/2 tsp, since my mom is super "spicy" sensitive. She said it tasted great, but still a bit too spicy for her. My boyfriend on the other hand loves spicy foods; he said it wasn't spicy but was delicious. I will definitely make it again. Helpful (0) Italian Sausage with Farfalle and Broccoli Rabe 11/02/2016 I've been searching for a recipe similar to how my mom used to make this for ages. This wasn't spot on, but it was still so good! I used regular broccoli instead of the rabe. I normally follow recipes exactly the first time around and then change things over the next few times, but I didn't have any broccoli rabe on hand. Followed everything else, and it was flavorful and delicious! I will probably use less broth next time (one can should do it) but I will certainly be making this one again! Helpful (0) Sarah's Rice Pilaf 04/10/2016 This has become my go-to rice side dish recipe. My one tip is to make sure you let the orzo brown well in the butter, it adds fantastic texture and taste to the rice. I use a tiny bit more onion and garlic then the recipe calls for. Also, after adding the chicken broth I like to add some black pepper and a bit of dried oregano. Delicious! Helpful (0)
