Laura Oswald Ratings & Reviews 33 The Devil's Own Deviled Eggs 07/30/2022 Made this for a potluck Cinco de Mayo party - Nothing left over. First time I made it I went a little light on the pepper and dressed it with avocado pieces. The 2nd time made it as the recipe states. It was better, although a bit spicier the 2nd time. This recipe is a winner! Helpful (0) Mexican Ground Beef and Potato Skillet 06/18/2021 Easy and delicious. I didn't have fresh jalapenos, so I used pickled one. Still delicious. Helpful (0) Chicken Breast Cutlets with Artichokes and Capers 06/17/2020 Super easy and delicious. Followed the recipe fairly close. The sauce came out perfectly and was great over angel hair pasta. I did make the batter in advance and let it sit for about 2 hrs (as one reviewer had suggested). I'm unsure if that made a difference but the results were sooo good. Noted that because of the paprika my batter was much darker then what was in the video, but didn't seem to affect the taste at all. Did add less than 46 ounces of the Bloody Mary mix, as I did it in a crock pot and didn't want it too watery. This chili was amazing. Even got rave reviews from a taster who hates beans. Helpful (0) Enchilada Sauce 08/28/2019 Fantastic. Did modify per some suggestions. Used 3 TBSP chili powder (didn't have Calif Chili powder) and doubled garlic, cumin and onion powder. Added 1 oz dark chocolate and used 1 cup of no-salt chicken broth with 1/2 cup of water. The result was amazing. The base recipe is also very good, but with modifications it is amazing and so easy. Won't buy canned sauce again. Helpful (0) Easy Baking Powder Drop Biscuits 06/13/2019 Amazingly good. Added a bit of Cheddar Jack cheese. Took them out 5 min early brushed them with melted butter (not that they needed more butter, but yum) sprinkled lightly with a (very) little garlic salt and put them back in for the last 5 min. This is such a great base recipe. Definitely a keep! Helpful (0) Sticky Garlic Pork Chops 02/13/2019 Made these with boneless butterfly pork chops and they were amazing. Served it with brown rice cooked with chicken broth and steamed broccoli. Rave reviews all around. Helpful (0) Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake 01/20/2019 Helpful (0) True Love Chicken 11/27/2018 This was very easy. Based on reviews a few things of note - the garlic must be totally crushed to cook. For the last 20 min of cooking on the chicken breast I did add about an 1/8th cup of chicken broth to the pan. I used boneless/skinless chicken breast and there just wasn't enough rendering to stop the garlic from browning too much. The sauce was easy and good. I did the sauce in the same pan as was used for browning the chicken. Added some yellow and red bell pepper for taste. The sauce was super easy and super good. For serving I layered the spaghetti, baby spinach, the sauce and the chicken and garlic. This was a winner. Helpful (0) Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary 11/24/2018 I haven't made Cornish Hens before so I made this recipe exactly as stated. This was so easy and got rave reviews all around. It was amazingly tasty and the sauce thickened nicely with a quick heating. This was our Thanksgiving dinner and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Highly recommend. Helpful (1) Load More
