Jill Lightner is a writer and editor who has been writing about sustainability, regional recipes, and kitchen gardens for 20 years.

Experience: She is the author of three cookbooks, a recipe and pairing columnist for CiderCraft Magazine, and a contributor to the PCC Community Markets, The Seattle Times, Pacific NW Magazine, and more.

In addition to writing, Jill has worked as a restaurant critic, recipe developer, co-editor of Taste magazine, and the editor of the James Beard-winning magazine Edible Seattle.

Jill is passionate about environmental concerns and has spoken about sustainability on national and international podcasts, hosted visiting authors in a Seattle-based educational food book series, and participated in numerous panels relating to food waste reduction and urban kitchen gardens.
